My time in London has come to an end and it’s time to say goodbye to this wonderful city. I’ve had a smashing time here and I’ve made memories that will last forever. This week was spent furiously ticking off last minute bucket list items like Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s, hitting up our favorite restaurant, and stocking up on British candy for the flight back home. The following pictures are from our last week.
We took a late night walk around the “city” of London and got some nice St. Paul’s photos when because no tourists what to see St. Paul’s in the dark apparently, although it still looks really beautiful.

We also made a full English breakfast for dinner as a flat (plus a friend) and felt very British. We were eating breakfast foods for days after that. Can you say meat PLATTER??
We also stopped by Westminster Abbey on a very rainy day but still got some fun pictures.
We explored a festive holiday sight called Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. I have no pictures from this unfortunately but I can tell you that it was full of dazzling lights, a amalgamation of Christmas-y scents and food stands, and lots of markets and carnival rides that blared Christmas music from every stall. It was a fun place to find Christmas ornaments and trinkets and sample lots of hot chocolate and mulled wine.
On Thursday night, my program put on a commencement dinner for us, which turned out to be surprisingly fun. There was a hot buffet, a chocolate fountain, and a free photo booth. We got some small prizes and free t-shirts and danced to some fun music. It was a nice way to end the semester.
I’m very excited to come home and see all my friends and family but I am sad to be leaving London. I’ve had lots of fun and seen a lot of fabulous theater! Not to mention I met many fun people with whom I hope stay in touch. My classes were unique and very centered around London so I feel I really got a lot out of them. I’ll miss my professors, my friends, and my flat mates, but I’ll never forget them or how they made my time in London worthwhile!
Cheers!
